Matthew 8:1-13

Pastor John will take us once again today to the gospel of Matthew as we look at chapter eight, verses five through twenty-seven. When you’re faced with what looks to be an impossibility questions tend to surface. Often we’re asking the wrong questions.  Here’s a good question to ask, “Is there anything too hard for the Lord?”  Keep that in the back of your mind and join pastor John as he continues through Matthew.

Every now and then we run into people who are nothing short of extraordinary. They inspire us in so many ways, and if we’re wise we’ll learn a thing or two from them. As we turn to Matthew chapter eight Jesus identifies such a person.  And today on Light on the Hill we’ll consider the characteristics of this extraordinary Centurion.  The lessons flowing from his life are truly amazing.

He also appears on the Israeli Television program Pdut L'amo where he teaches each week from the Bible (This program is in Hebrew). A similar Bible Study program in English is broadcast on numerous television networks across the United States, Europe, and Africa. Many of his lectures are available in the forms of video, audio and written on Pdut.org (Hebrew) and LoveIsrael.org (English). Baruch holds a PhD in Jewish Studies. His dissertation was in the translation techniques of the Septuagint. Baruch has been married for over 30 years to his wife, Rivka, and they have three adult children. The Kormans live in Israel.
