181While He was sayingthesethings to them, a synagogue officialcame and 2boweddownbefore Him, and said, "My daughter has justdied; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live."

Jesusgot up and began to follow him, and so did His disciples.

And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelveyears, came up behind Him and touched3the fringe of His cloak;

for she was saying to herself, "If I only4touch His garment, I will getwell."

But Jesusturning and seeing her said, "Daughter, 5takecourage; 6your faith has made you well." At once* the woman was madewell.

When Jesuscame into the official'shouse, and saw7the flute-players and the crowd in noisydisorder,

He said, "Leave; for the girl8has not died, but is asleep." And they began laughing at Him.

But 9when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and 10took her by the hand, and the girlgot up.

As Jesuswent on from there, twoblindmenfollowed Him, crying out, "Havemercy on us, 12Son of David!"
28
When He entered the house, the blindmencame up to Him, and Jesussaid to them, "Do you believe that I amable to dothis?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord."
