CEB 1 Those whose way is blameless— who walk in the LORD's Instruction—are truly happy! NRS 1 Happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. CEB 2 Those who guard God's laws are truly happy! They seek God with all their hearts. NRS 2 Happy are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart, CEB 3 They don't even do anything wrong! They walk in God's ways. NRS 3 who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways. CEB 4 God, you have ordered that your decrees should be kept most carefully. NRS 4 You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. CEB 5 How I wish my ways were strong when it comes to keeping your statutes! NRS 5 O that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! CEB 6 Then I wouldn't be ashamed when I examine all your commandments. NRS 6 Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments. CEB 7 I will give thanks to you with a heart that does right as I learn your righteous rules. NRS 7 I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous ordinances. CEB 8 I will keep your statutes. Please don't leave me all alone! NRS 8 I will observe your statutes; do not utterly forsake me. CEB 9 How can young people keep their paths pure? By guarding them according to what you've said. NRS 9 How can young people keep their way pure? By guarding it according to your word. CEB 10 I have sought you with all my heart. Don't let me stray from any of your commandments! NRS 10 With my whole heart I seek you; do not let me stray from your commandments. CEB 11 I keep your word close, in my heart, so that I won't sin against you. NRS 11 I treasure your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against you. CEB 12 You, LORD, are to be blessed! Teach me your statutes. NRS 12 Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes. CEB 13 I will declare out loud all the rules you have spoken. NRS 13 With my lips I declare all the ordinances of your mouth. CEB 14 I rejoice in the content of your laws as if I were rejoicing over great wealth. NRS 14 I delight in the way of your decrees as much as in all riches. CEB 15 I will think about your precepts and examine all your paths. NRS 15 I will meditate on your precepts, and fix my eyes on your ways. CEB 16 I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget what you have said. NRS 16 I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word. CEB 17 Be good to your servant so I can go on living and keeping your word. NRS 17 Deal bountifully with your servant, so that I may live and observe your word. CEB 18 Open my eyes so I can examine the wonders of your Instruction! NRS 21 You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from your commandments; CEB 22 Take all their insults and contempt away from me because I've kept your laws! NRS 22 take away from me their scorn and contempt, for I have kept your decrees. CEB 23 Even if rulers gather and scheme against me, your servant will contemplate your statutes! NRS 23 Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes. CEB 24 Yes, your laws are my joy— they are my most trusted advisors! NRS 24 Your decrees are my delight, they are my counselors. CEB 25 My life is stuck in the dirt. Now make me live again according to your promise! NRS 25 My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to your word. CEB 26 I confessed my ways and you answered me. Now teach me your statutes! NRS 26 When I told of my ways, you answered me; teach me your statutes. CEB 27 Help me understand what your precepts are about so I can contemplate your wondrous works! NRS 27 Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous works. CEB 28 My spirit sags because of grief. Now raise me up according to your promise! NRS 28 My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. CEB 29 Remove all false ways from me; show mercy to me by means of your Instruction. NRS 29 Put false ways far from me; and graciously teach me your law. CEB 30 I've chosen the way of faithfulness; I'm set on your rules. NRS 30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your ordinances before me. CEB 31 I'm holding tight to your laws, LORD. Please don't let me be put to shame. CEB 38 Confirm your promise to your servant— the promise that is for all those who honor you. NRS 38 Confirm to your servant your promise, which is for those who fear you. CEB 39 Remove the insults that I dread because your rules are good. NRS 39 Turn away the disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances are good. CEB 40 Look how I desire your precepts! Make me live by your righteousness. NRS 40 See, I have longed for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life. CEB 41 LORD, let your faithful love come to me— let your salvation come to me according to your promise— NRS 41 Let your steadfast love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise. CEB 42 so I can have a response for those who mock me because I have trusted in your word! NRS 42 Then I shall have an answer for those who taunt me, for I trust in your word. CEB 43 Please don't take your true word out of my mouth, because I have waited for your rules. NRS 43 Do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your ordinances. CEB 44 I will always keep your Instruction, always and forever! NRS 44 I will keep your law continually, forever and ever. CEB 45 I will walk around in wide-open spaces, because I have pursued your precepts. NRS 45 I shall walk at liberty, for I have sought your precepts. NRS 53 Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, those who forsake your law. CEB 54 Your statutes have been my songs of praise wherever I lived as an immigrant. NRS 54 Your statutes have been my songs wherever I make my home. CEB 55 LORD, I remember your name at nighttime, and I keep your Instruction. NRS 55 I remember your name in the night, O Lord, and keep your law. CEB 56 This has been my practice because I guard your precepts. NRS 56 This blessing has fallen to me, for I have kept your precepts. CEB 57 The LORD is my possession. I promise to do what you have said. NRS 57 The Lord is my portion; I promise to keep your words. CEB 58 I've sought your favor with all my heart; have mercy on me according to your word. NRS 58 I implore your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise. CEB 59 I've considered my ways and turned my feet back to your laws. CEB 83 because I've become like a bottle dried up by smoke, though I haven't forgotten your statutes. NRS 83 For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, yet I have not forgotten your statutes. CEB 84 How much more time does your servant have? When will you bring my oppressors to justice? NRS 84 How long must your servant endure? When will you judge those who persecute me? CEB 85 The arrogant have dug pits for me— those people who act against your Instruction. NRS 85 The arrogant have dug pitfalls for me; they flout your law. CEB 86 All your commandments are true, but people harass me for no reason. Help me! NRS 86 All your commandments are enduring; I am persecuted without cause; help me! CEB 87 They've almost wiped me off the face of the earth! Meanwhile, I haven't abandoned your precepts! NRS 87 They have almost made an end of me on earth; but I have not forsaken your precepts. CEB 88 Make me live again according to your faithful love so I can keep the law you've given! NRS 88 In your steadfast love spare my life, so that I may keep the decrees of your mouth. CEB 89 Your word, LORD, stands firm in heaven forever! NRS 89 The Lord exists forever; your word is firmly fixed in heaven. CEB 90 Your faithfulness extends from one generation to the next! You set the earth firmly in place, and it is still there. NRS 90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast. CEB 153 Look at my suffering and deliver me because I haven't forgotten your Instruction. NRS 153 Look on my misery and rescue me, for I do not forget your law. CEB 154 Argue my case and redeem me. CEB 160 The first thing to know about your word is that it is true and that all your righteous rules last forever. NRS 160 The sum of your word is truth; and every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever. CEB 161 Rulers oppress me without cause, but my heart honors what you've said. NRS 161 Princes persecute me without cause, but my heart stands in awe of your words. CEB 162 I'm overjoyed at your word, like someone who finds great treasure.
