Job 33:8 Meaning and Commentary

Job 33:8

After the above preface, Elihu proceeds to the point in hand, and enters a charge against Job; which he took up, not upon suspicion and surmisings, nor upon report, nor upon accusations received from others, but what he had heard with his own ears, unless he was greatly mistaken indeed, which he thought he was not:

[saying];

Job 33:8 In-Context

6 ecce et me sicut et te fecit Deus et de eodem luto ego quoque formatus sum
7 verumtamen miraculum meum non te terreat et eloquentia mea non sit tibi gravis
8 dixisti ergo in auribus meis et vocem verborum audivi
9 mundus sum ego absque delicto inmaculatus et non est iniquitas in me
10 quia querellas in me repperit ideo arbitratus est me inimicum sibi
