Ahab Becomes King of Israel

29 In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab son of Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria over Israel twenty-two years.

And in the thirty fifth year of Asa king of Judah began
Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel
At the latter end of it, the same year his father died, see ( 1 Kings 16:23 )

and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty two
years;
the same number of years Jeroboam did, ( 1 Kings 14:20 ) .
