13 Pero las tropas que Amasías había hecho volver para que no fueran con él a la batalla, saquearon las ciudades de Judá desde Samaria hasta Bet-horón, mataron a tres mil de ellos y tomaron mucho botín.

2 Chronicles 25:13

But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that
they should not go with him to battle,
&e.] The 100,000 men hired out of Israel, whom he dismissed before he went against Edom:

fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron;
which, though it formerly belonged to Ephraim, had been taken by the men of Judah; they did not fall on these as they returned home, for then it would have been said from Bethhoron to Samaria: but after they had returned home, they meditated this piece of revenge for the ill treatment of them, as they reckoned it:

and smote three thousand of them;
of the inhabitants of the cities, who rose up and opposed them:

and took much spoil;
out of them, and went their way with it.

11 Y Amasías se fortaleció, y al frente de su pueblo fue al valle de la Sal y mató a diez mil de los hijos de Seir.

12 También los hijos de Judá capturaron vivos a diez mil y los llevaron a la cumbre de la peña, los echaron abajo desde la cumbre de la peña y todos fueron despedazados.

13 Pero las tropas que Amasías había hecho volver para que no fueran con él a la batalla, saquearon las ciudades de Judá desde Samaria hasta Bet-horón, mataron a tres mil de ellos y tomaron mucho botín.

14 Y aconteció que después que Amasías regresó de la matanza de los edomitas, trajo los dioses de los hijos de Seir y los puso como sus dioses, se postró delante de ellos y les quemó incienso.

15 Entonces se encendió la ira del SEÑOR contra Amasías, y le envió un profeta que le dijo: ¿Por qué has buscado a los dioses de otro pueblo, que no han podido librar a su propio pueblo de tu mano?
