Ezequiel 14:20

20 aunque Noé, Daniel y Job estuvieran en medio de él, vivo yodeclara el Señor DIOS, que ni a su hijo ni a su hija podrían librar; ellos, por su justicia, sólo se librarían a sí mismos.

Ezekiel 14:20

Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, [were] in it
Who are again mentioned by name, as in ( Ezekiel 14:14 ) ; and are the three men referred to in ( Ezekiel 14:16 Ezekiel 14:18 ) ; [as] I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither son nor
daughter;
not so much as an only son, or an only daughter, no, not even a single child: the plural number is used before, as in ( Ezekiel 14:16 Ezekiel 14:18 ) ; here the singular, to show how resolutely determined the Lord was upon the destruction of the land; that even the prayers of the best of men among them should not prevail with him to save a single person, no, not a single infant: they shall [but] deliver their own souls by their righteousness;

18 y estos tres hombres estuvieran en medio de él, vivo yodeclara el Señor DIOS, que no podrían librar ni a sus hijos ni a sus hijas; sino que sólo ellos serían librados.

19 O si yo enviara una plaga contra ese país y derramara mi furor sobre él con sangre, para cortar de él hombres y animales,

20 aunque Noé, Daniel y Job estuvieran en medio de él, vivo yodeclara el Señor DIOS, que ni a su hijo ni a su hija podrían librar; ellos, por su justicia, sólo se librarían a sí mismos.

21 Porque así dice el Señor DIOS: ¡Cuánto más cuando yo envíe mis cuatro terribles juicios contra Jerusalén: espada, hambre, fieras y plaga para cortar de ella hombres y animales!

22 Sin embargo, he aquí, en ella quedarán sobrevivientes, hijos e hijas que serán sacados. He aquí, saldrán hacia vosotros y veréis su conducta y sus obras; entonces seréis consolados de la calamidad que he traído contra Jerusalén, de todo lo que he traído sobre ella.
