8 "Pero no escucharon ni inclinaron su oído, sino que cada cual anduvo en la terquedad de su malvado corazón. Por tanto, hice caer sobre ellos todas las palabras de este pacto, que yo les mandé cumplir y no lo cumplieron."

Jeremiah 11:8

Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear
Though they had such strong solicitations and fair warnings, and these repeated again and again; all which was an aggravation of their disobedience and stubbornness: but walked everyone in the imagination of their evil heart;
which is desperately wicked, and is evil, and that continually, even every imagination of it; wherefore walking herein must be very wide and different from walking in the law of the Lord, and obeying that; see ( Jeremiah 3:17 ) ( 7:24 ) : therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant;
that is, all the curses and threatenings denounced in it against the disobedient; and so the Targum,

``and I brought upon them vengeance (or punishment) because they received not the words of this covenant:''

which I commanded them to do, but they did them not; because they did not do the commands of the law, therefore the curses of it lighted on them; for the words of the preceding clause may be rendered, "and I brought upon them" ^F8; and it is suggested that the like punishment would be inflicted on the present generation, they imitating and pursuing the iniquities of their fathers; as follows:

6 Y el SEÑOR me dijo: Proclama todas estas palabras en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén, diciendo: "Oíd las palabras de este pacto y cumplidlas.

7 "Porque bien advertí a vuestros padres el día que los hice subir de la tierra de Egipto, y hasta hoy los he amonestado con insistencia, diciéndoles: 'Escuchad mi voz.'

8 "Pero no escucharon ni inclinaron su oído, sino que cada cual anduvo en la terquedad de su malvado corazón. Por tanto, hice caer sobre ellos todas las palabras de este pacto, que yo les mandé cumplir y no lo cumplieron."

9 Entonces el SEÑOR me dijo: Se ha descubierto una conspiración entre los hombres de Judá y entre los habitantes de Jerusalén.

10 Se han vuelto a las iniquidades de sus antepasados, los cuales rehusaron escuchar mis palabras, y se han ido tras otros dioses para servirlos. La casa de Israel y la casa de Judá han violado mi pacto, que hice con sus padres.
