20 y diles: "Escuchad la palabra del SEÑOR, reyes de Judá, todo Judá y todos los habitantes de Jerusalén que entráis por estas puertas:

Jeremiah 17:20

And say unto them, hear ye the word of the Lord
Concerning the sanctification of the sabbath; for this was not of human, but of divine institution:

ye kings of Judah;
which must be understood either, as Kimchi thinks, of the then present king and his sons, so called because they would reign after him; for, there was but one king at a time; and who, perhaps, at this time, was Josiah: or else the king and his nobles, the princes of the land, are meant:

and all Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by
these gates;
the people in the several parts of the land of Judea, that came to Jerusalem either for trade and merchandise, or for worship, and all that dwelt in the metropolis; for the business the prophet had to charge them with concerned them all.

18 Sean avergonzados los que me persiguen, pero no sea yo avergonzado; sean atemorizados ellos, pero que no me atemorice yo. Trae sobre ellos el día de calamidad, y destrúyelos con doble destrucción.

19 Así me dijo el SEÑOR: Ve y ponte a la puerta de los hijos del pueblo, por la cual entran y salen los reyes de Judá, y asimismo en todas las puertas de Jerusalén,

20 y diles: "Escuchad la palabra del SEÑOR, reyes de Judá, todo Judá y todos los habitantes de Jerusalén que entráis por estas puertas:

21 "Así dice el SEÑOR: 'Guardaos, por vuestra vida, de llevar carga en día de reposo, y de meterla por las puertas de Jerusalén.

22 'Tampoco saquéis carga de vuestras casas en día de reposo, ni hagáis trabajo alguno, sino santificad el día de reposo, como mandé a vuestros padres.
