Jeremiah 48:43

Fear, and the pit, and the snare, [shall be] upon thee
A proverbial expression, showing, that if they escaped one danger, or sore judgment, they should fall into another and greater: the words seem to be taken from ( Isaiah 24:17 ) ; (See Gill on Isaiah 24:17); O inhabitant of Moab, saith the Lord;
what in the prophecy of Isaiah is said of the inhabitants of the earth in general, is here applied to the inhabitants of Moab in particular.

41 Ha sido tomada Queriot y las fortalezas han sido ocupadas; será el corazón de los valientes de Moab en aquel día como el corazón de una mujer de parto.
42 Y Moab será destruido, dejará de ser pueblo porque se engrandeció contra el SEÑOR.
43 Terror, foso y lazo vienen sobre ti, morador de Moabdeclara el SEÑOR.
44 El que huya del terror caerá en el foso, y el que suba del foso caerá en el lazo; porque yo traeré sobre él, sobre Moab, el año de su castigodeclara el SEÑOR.
45 A la sombra de Hesbón se paran sin fuerzas los fugitivos; pues ha salido fuego de Hesbón, y una llama de en medio de Sehón, que ha consumido las sienes de Moab y los cráneos de los hijos del tumulto.
