Josué 22:31

31 Y Finees, hijo del sacerdote Eleazar, dijo a los hijos de Rubén, a los hijos de Gad y a los hijos de Manasés: Hoy sabemos que el SEÑOR está en medio de nosotros, porque no habéis cometido esta infidelidad contra el SEÑOR; ahora habéis librado a los hijos de Israel de la mano del SEÑOR.

Joshua 22:31

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest
As the mouth of the deputation, and in their name:

said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to
the children of Manasseh;
the representatives of them assembled together on this occasion:

this day we perceive that the Lord [is] among us;
his Shechinah, as the Targum; his powerful Presence in preserving their brethren from committing a trespass, as they feared; his gracious Presence smiling upon them; and as the God of peace and order, and not of confusion, uniting and cementing their hearts in love to one another:

because ye have not committed this trespass against the Lord;
which they were fearful and jealous of they had, but they found that the Lord had been good and gracious in preserving them from it:

now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the
Lord;
into which they would have fallen, had that been the case, and would have felt the effects of the divine resentment, but now they were secure from them.

29 Lejos esté de nosotros que nos rebelemos contra el SEÑOR y nos apartemos de seguir hoy al SEÑOR, construyendo un altar para holocaustos, para ofrenda de cereal o para sacrificios, aparte del altar del SEÑOR nuestro Dios que está frente a su tabernáculo .

30 Y cuando el sacerdote Finees y los principales de la congregación, es decir, las cabezas de las familias de Israel que estaban con él, oyeron las palabras que dijeron los hijos de Rubén, los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Manasés, les pareció bien.

31 Y Finees, hijo del sacerdote Eleazar, dijo a los hijos de Rubén, a los hijos de Gad y a los hijos de Manasés: Hoy sabemos que el SEÑOR está en medio de nosotros, porque no habéis cometido esta infidelidad contra el SEÑOR; ahora habéis librado a los hijos de Israel de la mano del SEÑOR.

32 Entonces Finees, hijo del sacerdote Eleazar, y los jefes, dejaron a los hijos de Rubén y a los hijos de Gad, y regresaron de la tierra de Galaad a la tierra de Canaán, a los hijos de Israel, y les dieron respuesta.

33 Y la respuesta agradó a los hijos de Israel; y los hijos de Israel bendijeron a Dios, y no hablaron más de subir a pelear contra ellos para destruir la tierra en que habitaban los hijos de Rubén y los hijos de Gad.
