22 Pero él, afligido por estas palabras, se fue triste, porque era dueño de muchos bienes.

Mark 10:22

And, he was sad at that saying
That he lacked one thing, and especially that he should be bid to sell all that he had, and give it away; and what might add to his sadness is, that he must take up the cross of reproach, affliction, persecution, and death; his countenance fell upon this,

and went away grieved:
finding that he must part with two things his heart was set upon, his idol of self-righteousness, and his mammon of unrighteousness; the bladder of his pride was pricked, and his vanity and self-conceit were exposed; and he was called upon to part with his substance; all which were sadly mortifying, and exceedingly disagreeable to him:

20 Y él le dijo: Maestro, todo esto lo he guardado desde mi juventud.
21 Jesús, mirándolo, lo amó y le dijo: Una cosa te falta: ve y vende cuanto tienes y da a los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme.
22 Pero él, afligido por estas palabras, se fue triste, porque era dueño de muchos bienes.
23 Jesús, mirando en derredor, dijo<***> a sus discípulos: ¡Qué difícil será para los que tienen riquezas entrar en el reino de Dios!
24 Y los discípulos se asombraron de sus palabras. Pero Jesús respondiendo de nuevo, les dijo<***>: Hijos, ¡qué difícil es entrar en el reino de Dios !
