31 Joacaz ten铆a veintitr茅s a帽os cuando comenz贸 a reinar, y rein贸 tres meses en Jerusal茅n. El nombre de su madre era Hamutal, hija de Jerem铆as, de Libna.
32 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del SE脩OR, conforme a todo lo que hab铆an hecho sus padres.
33 Y Fara贸n Necao lo puso en prisi贸n en Ribla, en la tierra de Hamat, para que no reinara en Jerusal茅n; e impuso una multa sobre la tierra de cien talentos de plata y un talento de oro.
34 Fara贸n Necao hizo rey a Eliaquim, hijo de Jos铆as, en lugar de Jos铆as su padre, y cambi贸 su nombre por el de Joacim. Pero tom贸 a Joacaz y lo llev贸 a Egipto, y all铆 muri贸.
35 Y Joacim dio la plata y el oro a Fara贸n, e impuso contribuciones al pa铆s para entregar el dinero conforme al mandato de Fara贸n. Exigi贸 la plata y el oro del pueblo de la tierra, a cada uno conforme a sus bienes, para d谩rselo a Fara贸n Necao.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 23

This chapter treats of Josiah's reading the book of the law, and of him and the people renewing the covenant with God, 2Ki 23:1-3, and of his removing idols and idolatry in every shape, and witchcraft, out of the land, which he did in the sincerity of his heart, 2Ki 23:4-25, yet the wrath of God was still determined upon the land, 2Ki 23:26-28 and Josiah was taken away by an untimely death, 2Ki 23:29,30 and was succeeded by two sons of his, one after another, whose reigns were wicked, 2Ki 23:31-37.
