My confusion [is] continually before me
Meaning that which is the occasion of it; and the shame of my face hath covered me;
not by reason of sin, which is often the cause of confusion and shame in God's people; see ( Jeremiah 3:25 ) ( Daniel 9:8 ) ; but on account of what follows.

14 Nos pones por proverbio entre las naciones, causa de risa entre los pueblos.
15 Todo el día mi ignominia está delante de mí, y la verguenza de mi rostro me ha abrumado,
16 por la voz del que me reprocha y vitupera, por la presencia del enemigo y del vengativo.
17 Todo esto nos ha sobrevenido, pero no nos hemos olvidado de ti, ni hemos faltado a tu pacto.
