Rebellion against Rehoboam

1 Then Rehoboam went to Shechem, for all Israel had gone there to make him king. 1
2 When Jeroboam son of Nebat heard about this, he returned from Egypt, where he had fled from King Solomon.
3 So they sent for Jeroboam, and he and all Israel came to Rehoboam and said,

This chapter is not only in sense the same, but is expressed almost in the selfsame words as First Kings chapter twelve, verses one through nineteen, so there needs not anything to be added to the notes there, which the reader is referred to.
