Zephaniah gave warning to Judah of the coming Babylonian invasion, the coming JUDGMENT of God on His disobedient people. Zephaniah called it the day of the LORD (Zephaniah 1:7,14), the day when God would punish all ungodly nations—including Judah. And yet, Zephaniah held out the promise that the repentant remnant of Judah would eventually be restored.
