And he saith (legwn). See above. Fear God (pobhqhte ton qeon). First aorist passive (deponent) imperative of pobeomai, here transitive with the accusative as in Luke 12:5 . It is a call to judgment with no hope offered except by implication ( Acts 14:15 ). Give him glory (dote autwi doxan). Second aorist active indicative of didwmi. For the phrase see Acts 11:13 . The hour is come (h wra hlqen). Second aorist (prophetic use) active indicative of ercomai. Common idiom in John's Gospel ( 2:4 ; Jo 4:21 Jo 4:23 ; Jo 5:25 Jo 5:28 ; 7:30 , etc.). Worship (proskunhsate). First aorist active imperative of proskunew with the dative case. Solemn call to the pagan world to worship God as Creator ( 4:11 ; 10:6 ), as in Psalms 96:6 ; Acts 14:15 .
