1	He encourages the people to the work, by promise of greater glory to the second temple than was in the first.
10	In the type of holy things and unclean he shews their sins hindered the work.
20	God's promise to Zerubbabel.

If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
