And Menahem slept with his fathers
Died a natural death, and in peace, though an usurper and a tyrant:

and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead;
the kingdom he had usurped continued in his family.

20 Then Menahem exacted 20 ounces of silver from each of the wealthy men of Israel to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and did not stay there in the land.
