Exodus 6:2

And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord.
] Or Jehovah, the self-existent Being, the Being of beings, the everlasting I am, the unchangeable Jehovah, true, firm, and constant to his promises, ever to be believed, and always to be depended on.

Exodus 6:2 In-Context

1 But the Lord replied to Moses, "Now you are going to see what I will do to Pharaoh: he will let them go because of My strong hand; he will drive them out of his land because of My strong hand."
2 Then God spoke to Moses, telling him, "I am Yahweh.
3 I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God Almighty, but I did not make My name Yahweh known to them.
4 I also established My covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land they lived in as foreigners.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are forcing to work as slaves, and I have remembered My covenant.
