Genesis 6:21

21 Take with you every kind of food that is eaten; gather it as food for you and for them."

Genesis 6:21 Meaning and Commentary

Genesis 6:21

And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten
By man and beast; of which see ( Genesis 1:29 Genesis 1:30 ) and thou shall gather [it] to thee;
to lay up in the ark: and it shall be for food for thee, and for them:
during the flood, a quantity sufficient for them: and according to the calculation of learned men F14, well versed in mathematics, there was room enough in the ark, and to spare, to put food for them all during the time the flood was on the earth.

Genesis 6:21 In-Context

19 You are also to bring into the ark two of every living thing of all flesh, male and female, to keep them alive with you.
20 Two of everything-from the birds according to their kinds, from the livestock according to their kinds, and from every animal that crawls on the ground according to its kind-will come to you so that you can keep them alive.
21 Take with you every kind of food that is eaten; gather it as food for you and for them."
22 And Noah did this. He did everything that God had commanded him.
