1 My heart is confident, God;[a] I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being.[b]

Psalms 108:1

O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise
From hence to ( Psalms 108:6 ) the words are taken out of ( Psalms 57:7-11 ) , which see.

Even with my glory;
my tongue; in ( Psalms 57:8 ) , it is read, "awake up my glory". (See Gill on Psalms 57:7),

Psalms 108:1 In-Context

1 My heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being.
2 Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.
3 I will praise You, Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.
4 For Your faithful love is higher than the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
5 God, be exalted above the heavens; let Your glory be over the whole earth.
