Exodus 28:10

Six of their names on one stone
The names of the six eldest on the stone upon the right shoulder:

and the other six names of the rest on the other stone:
the names of the six youngest on the stone upon the left shoulder; for these stones, as afterwards said, were put on the shoulders of the priests,

according to their birth;
the order of it; so that upon the first stone were engraven the names of Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, and Naphtali; and on the second stone the names of Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin; and so they are disposed by Jarchi, with whom Josephus agrees ^F1; though some Jewish writers, and particularly Maimonides ^F2, place them otherwise; but this seems most agreeable to the letter and sense of the text.

8 其 上 巧 工 織 的 帶 子 ， 要 和 以 弗 得 一 樣 的 做 法 ， 用 以 束 上 ， 與 以 弗 得 接 連 一 塊 ， 要 用 金 線 和 藍 色 、 紫 色 、 朱 紅 色 線 ， 並 撚 的 細 麻 做 成 。

9 要 取 兩 塊 紅 瑪 瑙 ， 在 上 面 刻 以 色 列 兒 子 的 名 字 ：

11 要 用 刻 寶 石 的 手 工 ， 彷 彿 刻 圖 書 ， 按 著 以 色 列 兒 子 的 名 字 ， 刻 這 兩 塊 寶 石 ， 要 鑲 在 金 槽 上 。

12 要 將 這 兩 塊 寶 石 安 在 以 弗 得 的 兩 條 肩 帶 上 ， 為 以 色 列 人 做 紀 念 石 。 亞 倫 要 在 兩 肩 上 擔 他 們 的 名 字 ， 在 耶 和 華 面 前 作 為 紀 念 。
