2 大 衛 對 以 色 列 全 會 眾 說 ： 你 們 若 以 為 美 ， 見 這 事 是 出 於 耶 和 華 ─ 我 們 的 　 神 ， 我 們 就 差 遣 人 走 遍 以 色 列 地 ， 見 我 們 未 來 的 弟 兄 ， 又 見 住 在 有 郊 野 之 城 的 祭 司 利 未 人 ， 使 他 們 都 到 這 裡 來 聚 集 。

1 Chronicles 13:2

And David said unto all the congregation of Israel
To the above persons, as representatives of it: if it seem good unto you, and that it be of the Lord our God;
if it could be thought by them a good and useful thing, and agreeable to the will of God, and would make for his glory: let us send abroad unto our brethren everywhere that are left in all
the land of Israel;
that were not then present with them, even all the common people; whom David, though king, owns as his brethren; nor is his antitype ashamed to own this relation between him and his people, ( Hebrews 2:11 ) and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their
cities and suburbs:
given to them in the several tribes to dwell in, see ( 1 Chronicles 6:54-81 ) , that they may gather themselves unto us;
at a certain time and place appointed.

1 大 衛 與 千 夫 長 、 百 夫 長 ， 就 是 一 切 首 領 商 議 。

2 大 衛 對 以 色 列 全 會 眾 說 ： 你 們 若 以 為 美 ， 見 這 事 是 出 於 耶 和 華 ─ 我 們 的 　 神 ， 我 們 就 差 遣 人 走 遍 以 色 列 地 ， 見 我 們 未 來 的 弟 兄 ， 又 見 住 在 有 郊 野 之 城 的 祭 司 利 未 人 ， 使 他 們 都 到 這 裡 來 聚 集 。

3 我 們 要 把 　 神 的 約 櫃 運 到 我 們 這 裡 來 ； 因 為 在 掃 羅 年 間 ， 我 們 沒 有 在 約 櫃 前 求 問 　 神 。

4 全 會 眾 都 說 可 以 如 此 行 ； 這 事 在 眾 民 眼 中 都 看 為 好 。

5 於 是 ， 大 衛 將 以 色 列 人 從 埃 及 的 西 曷 河 直 到 哈 馬 口 都 招 聚 了 來 ， 要 從 基 列 耶 琳 將 　 神 的 約 櫃 運 來 。
