1 Chronicles 23:1

So when David was old and full of days
Perhaps was now in the last year of his age, about seventy years old, though before he was bedridden; see ( 1 Chronicles 28:2 ) ,

he made Solomon his son king over Israel;
declared him to be his successor; this was before the affair of Adonijah, for then he ordered him to be anointed king, and placed on the throne; and this aggravated the rebellion of Adonijah, that it was against the declared and known will of his father.

1 大 衛 年 紀 老 邁 ， 日 子 滿 足 ， 就 立 他 兒 子 所 羅 門 作 以 色 列 的 王 。

2 大 衛 招 聚 以 色 列 的 眾 首 領 和 祭 司 利 未 人 。

3 利 未 人 從 三 十 歲 以 外 的 都 被 數 點 ， 他 們 男 丁 的 數 目 共 有 三 萬 八 千 ；

4 其 中 有 二 萬 四 千 人 管 理 耶 和 華 殿 的 事 ， 有 六 千 人 作 官 長 和 士 師 ，

5 有 四 千 人 作 守 門 的 ， 又 有 四 千 人 用 大 衛 所 做 的 樂 器 頌 讚 耶 和 華 。
