歷代志下 25:7

7 有 一 個 　 神 人 來 見 亞 瑪 謝 ， 對 他 說 ： 王 啊 ， 不 要 使 以 色 列 的 軍 兵 與 你 同 去 ， 因 為 耶 和 華 不 與 以 色 列 人 以 法 蓮 的 後 裔 同 在 。

2 Chronicles 25:7

But there came a man of God to him
Who the Jews say ^F6 was the brother of the king, Amos, the father of Isaiah, but without foundation:

saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee;
to war against Edom; meaning the 100,000 men he had hired, and suggesting that to have them with him would not be to his advantage, but his detriment, for the following reason:

for the Lord is not with Israel,
to wit,

with all the children of Ephraim;
they being idolaters, worshippers of the calves; and as they had forsaken the Lord, he had forsaken them; therefore no help could be expected from them; the Targum is,

``the Word of the Lord is not their help.''

5 亞 瑪 謝 招 聚 猶 大 人 ， 按 著 猶 大 和 便 雅 憫 的 宗 族 設 立 千 夫 長 、 百 夫 長 ， 又 數 點 人 數 ， 從 二 十 歲 以 外 ， 能 拿 槍 拿 盾 牌 出 去 打 仗 的 精 兵 共 有 三 十 萬 ；

6 又 用 銀 子 一 百 他 連 得 ， 從 以 色 列 招 募 了 十 萬 大 能 的 勇 士 。

7 有 一 個 　 神 人 來 見 亞 瑪 謝 ， 對 他 說 ： 王 啊 ， 不 要 使 以 色 列 的 軍 兵 與 你 同 去 ， 因 為 耶 和 華 不 與 以 色 列 人 以 法 蓮 的 後 裔 同 在 。

8 你 若 一 定 要 去 ， 就 奮 勇 爭 戰 罷 ！ 但 　 神 必 使 你 敗 在 敵 人 面 前 ； 因 為 　 神 能 助 人 得 勝 ， 也 能 使 人 傾 敗 。

9 亞 瑪 謝 問 　 神 人 說 ： 我 給 了 以 色 列 軍 的 那 一 百 他 連 得 銀 子 怎 麼 樣 呢 ？ 　 神 人 回 答 說 ： 耶 和 華 能 把 更 多 的 賜 給 你 。
