10 非 利 士 人 就 這 樣 行 ： 將 兩 隻 有 乳 的 母 牛 套 在 車 上 ， 將 牛 犢 關 在 家 裡 ，

1 Samuel 6:10

And the men did so
Made a new cart, not the lords of the Philistines, but workmen by their orders:

and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart;
with the gear that horses, asses, or oxen, were usually fastened to a carriage they drew:

and shut up their calves at home;
or, "in the house" ^F19; the cow house or stable where they used to be put; this they did to restrain them from following the cows, which would disturb them in drawing the cart.

8 把 耶 和 華 的 約 櫃 放 在 車 上 ， 將 所 獻 賠 罪 的 金 物 裝 在 匣 子 裡 ， 放 在 櫃 旁 ， 將 櫃 送 去 。

9 你 們 要 看 看 ： 車 若 直 行 以 色 列 的 境 界 到 伯 示 麥 去 ， 這 大 災 就 是 耶 和 華 降 在 我 們 身 上 的 ； 若 不 然 ， 便 可 以 知 道 不 是 他 的 手 擊 打 我 們 ， 是 我 們 偶 然 遇 見 的 。

11 把 耶 和 華 的 約 櫃 和 裝 金 老 鼠 並 金 痔 瘡 像 的 匣 子 都 放 在 車 上 。

12 牛 直 行 大 道 ， 往 伯 示 麥 去 ， 一 面 走 一 面 叫 ， 不 偏 左 右 。 非 利 士 的 首 領 跟 在 後 面 ， 直 到 伯 示 麥 的 境 界 。
