44 他 必 借 給 你 ， 你 卻 不 能 借 給 他 ； 他 必 作 首 ， 你 必 作 尾 。

Deuteronomy 28:44

He shall lend to thee, and thou shall not lend to him
The stranger, or one of another nation, shall be in a capacity of lending to the Jew, when the Jew would not be able to lend to the Gentile, his circumstances being so low and mean; to show which is the design of the expression, and not the kindness or unkindness of either; see ( Deuteronomy 28:12 ) ;

he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail;
he shall be ruler and governor, and thou shalt be subject to him; see ( Deuteronomy 28:13 ) .

43 在 你 中 間 寄 居 的 ， 必 漸 漸 上 升 ， 比 你 高 而 又 高 ； 你 必 漸 漸 下 降 ， 低 而 又 低 。

44 他 必 借 給 你 ， 你 卻 不 能 借 給 他 ； 他 必 作 首 ， 你 必 作 尾 。

45 這 一 切 咒 詛 必 追 隨 你 ， 趕 上 你 ， 直 到 你 滅 亡 ； 因 為 你 不 聽 從 耶 和 華 ─ 你 　 神 的 話 ， 不 遵 守 他 所 吩 咐 的 誡 命 律 例 。

46 這 些 咒 詛 必 在 你 和 你 後 裔 的 身 上 成 為 異 蹟 奇 事 ， 直 到 永 遠 ！
