8 只 因 耶 和 華 愛 你 們 ， 又 因 要 守 他 向 你 們 列 祖 所 起 的 誓 ， 就 用 大 能 的 手 領 你 們 出 來 ， 從 為 奴 之 家 救 贖 你 們 脫 離 埃 及 王 法 老 的 手 。

Deuteronomy 7:8

But because the Lord loved you
With an unmerited love; he loved them, because he loved them; that is, because he would love them; his love was not owing to any goodness in them, or done by them, or any love in them to him, but to his own good will and pleasure:

and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your
fathers;
the promise he had made, confirmed by an oath:

hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand;
out of the land of Egypt:

and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen;
where they were bondmen to the Egyptians:

from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt;
who detained them, and refused to let them go.

6 因 為 你 歸 耶 和 華 ─ 你 　 神 為 聖 潔 的 民 ； 耶 和 華 ─ 你 　 神 從 地 上 的 萬 民 中 揀 選 你 ， 特 作 自 己 的 子 民 。

7 耶 和 華 專 愛 你 們 ， 揀 選 你 們 ， 並 非 因 你 們 的 人 數 多 於 別 民 ， 原 來 你 們 的 人 數 在 萬 民 中 是 最 少 的 。

8 只 因 耶 和 華 愛 你 們 ， 又 因 要 守 他 向 你 們 列 祖 所 起 的 誓 ， 就 用 大 能 的 手 領 你 們 出 來 ， 從 為 奴 之 家 救 贖 你 們 脫 離 埃 及 王 法 老 的 手 。

9 所 以 ， 你 要 知 道 耶 和 華 ─ 你 的 　 神 ， 他 是 　 神 ， 是 信 實 的 　 神 ； 向 愛 他 、 守 他 誡 命 的 人 守 約 ， 施 慈 愛 ， 直 到 千 代 ；

10 向 恨 他 的 人 當 面 報 應 他 們 ， 將 他 們 滅 絕 。 凡 恨 他 的 人 必 報 應 他 們 ， 決 不 遲 延 。
