56 這 樣 ， 神 報 應 亞 比 米 勒 向 他 父 親 所 行 的 惡 ， 就 是 殺 了 弟 兄 七 十 個 人 的 惡 。

Judges 9:56

Thus God rendered the wickedness of Abimelech which he did
unto his father
To the disgrace of his father's character, and to the hurt of his father's family:

in slaying his seventy brethren;
excepting one, which was a piece of unheard of wickedness, attended with most sad aggravations; the shedding such blood required blood to be shed again, and it was righteous judgment God rendered to him; this, and the following verse contain the remarks made upon this history by the writer of it, who, as we have seen, in all probability, was the Prophet Samuel.

54 他 就 急 忙 喊 叫 拿 他 兵 器 的 少 年 人 ， 對 他 說 ： 拔 出 你 的 刀 來 ， 殺 了 我 罷 ！ 免 得 人 議 論 我 說 ， 他 為 一 個 婦 人 所 殺 。 於 是 少 年 人 把 他 刺 透 ， 他 就 死 了 。

55 以 色 列 人 見 亞 比 米 勒 死 了 ， 便 各 回 自 己 的 地 方 去 了 。

56 這 樣 ， 神 報 應 亞 比 米 勒 向 他 父 親 所 行 的 惡 ， 就 是 殺 了 弟 兄 七 十 個 人 的 惡 。

57 示 劍 人 的 一 切 惡 ， 神 也 都 報 應 在 他 們 頭 上 ； 耶 路 巴 力 的 兒 子 約 坦 的 咒 詛 歸 到 們 身 上 了 。
