6 於 是 ， 先 知 耶 利 米 在 耶 路 撒 冷 將 這 一 切 話 告 訴 猶 大 王 西 底 家 。

Jeremiah 34:6

Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words
The threatening, as well as the consolatory ones; he kept back no part of the message he was sent with, but faithfully delivered the whole: unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem;
though he knew it would displease him, and bring himself into trouble, as it did; for upon this he was put into prison.

4 猶 大 王 西 底 家 啊 ， 你 還 要 聽 耶 和 華 的 話 。 耶 和 華 論 到 你 如 此 說 ： 你 必 不 被 刀 劍 殺 死 ，

5 你 必 平 安 而 死 ， 人 必 為 你 焚 燒 物 件 ， 好 像 為 你 列 祖 ， 就 是 在 你 以 前 的 先 王 焚 燒 一 般 。 人 必 為 你 舉 哀 說 ： 哀 哉 ！ 我 主 啊 。 耶 和 華 說 ： 這 話 是 我 說 的 。

6 於 是 ， 先 知 耶 利 米 在 耶 路 撒 冷 將 這 一 切 話 告 訴 猶 大 王 西 底 家 。

7 那 時 ， 巴 比 倫 王 的 軍 隊 正 攻 打 耶 路 撒 冷 ， 又 攻 打 猶 大 所 剩 下 的 城 邑 ， 就 是 拉 吉 和 亞 西 加 。 原 來 猶 大 的 堅 固 城 只 剩 下 這 兩 座 。

8 西 底 家 王 與 耶 路 撒 冷 的 眾 民 立 約 ， 要 向 他 們 宣 告 自 由 ， 叫 各 人 任 他 希 伯 來 的 僕 人 和 婢 女 自 由 出 去 ， 誰 也 不 可 使 他 的 一 個 猶 大 弟 兄 作 奴 僕 。 （ 此 後 ， 有 耶 和 華 的 話 臨 到 耶 利 米 。 ）
