13 耶 和 華 說 ： 因 為 這 百 姓 離 棄 我 ， 在 他 們 面 前 所 設 立 的 律 法 沒 有 遵 行 ， 也 沒 有 聽 從 我 的 話 ；

Jeremiah 9:13

And the Lord saith
The Septuagint version adds, "to me"; there being no wise and understanding man, nor prophet ^F2, to take up this affair, and open the cause of it, therefore the Lord undertakes it himself: the question was put to them, but they not answering it, the Lord does it, because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them;
in a plain and easy manner, so as to be readily understood; yet this they attended not unto, but forsook it, neglected it, and cast it behind their backs. Kimchi's note on the phrase, "before them", is,

``not in heaven is it, nor beyond the sea is it;''

see ( Deuteronomy 30:11-14 ) : and have not obeyed my voice;
in the law, and by the prophets: neither walked therein:
according to it, as the Lord directed; they neither hearkened to the voice of the Lord, nor did as they were instructed by it.

11 我 必 使 耶 路 撒 冷 變 為 亂 堆 ， 為 野 狗 的 住 處 ， 也 必 使 猶 大 的 城 邑 變 為 荒 場 ， 無 人 居 住 。

12 誰 是 智 慧 人 ， 可 以 明 白 這 事 ？ 耶 和 華 的 口 向 誰 說 過 ， 使 他 可 以 傳 說 ？ 遍 地 為 何 滅 亡 ， 乾 焦 好 像 曠 野 ， 甚 至 無 人 經 過 呢 ？

13 耶 和 華 說 ： 因 為 這 百 姓 離 棄 我 ， 在 他 們 面 前 所 設 立 的 律 法 沒 有 遵 行 ， 也 沒 有 聽 從 我 的 話 ；

14 只 隨 從 自 己 頑 梗 的 心 行 事 ， 照 他 們 列 祖 所 教 訓 的 隨 從 眾 巴 力 。

15 所 以 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 ─ 以 色 列 的 　 神 如 此 說 ： 看 哪 ， 我 必 將 茵 蔯 給 這 百 姓 吃 ， 又 將 苦 膽 水 給 他 們 喝 。
