25 耶 和 華 說 ： 看 哪 ， 日 子 將 到 ， 我 要 刑 罰 一 切 受 過 割 禮 、 心 卻 未 受 割 禮 的 ，

Jeremiah 9:25

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord
Or, "are coming" {h}; it seems to respect the time after the Babylonish captivity, when the punishment after threatened took place, and not before: that I will punish all them that are circumcised with the
uncircumcised;
Jews and Gentiles together. The circumcised. Jews trusting in their circumcision, and being, as is said in the next verse, uncircumcised in heart, were no better than the uncircumcised Gentiles; wherefore both being transgressors of the law, and despisers of the Gospel of Christ, are threatened with destruction; see ( Romans 2:12 Romans 2:25-29 ) .

23 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 智 慧 人 不 要 因 他 的 智 慧 誇 口 ， 勇 士 不 要 因 他 的 勇 力 誇 口 ， 財 主 不 要 因 他 的 財 物 誇 口 。

24 誇 口 的 卻 因 他 有 聰 明 ， 認 識 我 是 耶 和 華 ， 又 知 道 我 喜 悅 在 世 上 施 行 慈 愛 、 公 平 ， 和 公 義 ， 以 此 誇 口 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。

25 耶 和 華 說 ： 看 哪 ， 日 子 將 到 ， 我 要 刑 罰 一 切 受 過 割 禮 、 心 卻 未 受 割 禮 的 ，

26 就 是 埃 及 、 猶 大 、 以 東 、 亞 捫 人 、 摩 押 人 ， 和 一 切 住 在 曠 野 剃 周 圍 頭 髮 的 ； 因 為 列 國 人 都 沒 有 受 割 禮 ， 以 色 列 人 心 中 也 沒 有 受 割 禮 。
