Isaiah 10:11

Shall I not, as I have done to Samaria, and her idols,
&c.] Kimchi observes, that what is said in the preceding verses was said before Samaria was taken, but this after it was taken: so do to Jerusalem, and her idols;
he had taken Samaria, and carried the ten tribes captive, and now his eye was upon Judah and Jerusalem; and such was his insolence, impiety, and blasphemy, that he reckons the true God, whom the Jews worshipped, among the idols of the Gentiles, and upon a level with them, if not inferior to them, especially to his own idol, and thought himself superior to him.

9 迦 勒 挪 豈 不 像 迦 基 米 施 嗎 ？ 哈 馬 豈 不 像 亞 珥 拔 嗎 ？ 撒 瑪 利 亞 豈 不 像 大 馬 色 嗎 ？

10 我 手 已 經 搆 到 有 偶 像 的 國 ； 這 些 國 雕 刻 的 偶 像 過 於 耶 路 撒 冷 和 撒 瑪 利 亞 的 偶 像 。

11 我 怎 樣 待 撒 瑪 利 亞 和 其 中 的 偶 像 ， 豈 不 照 樣 待 耶 路 撒 冷 和 其 中 的 偶 像 嗎 ？

12 主 在 錫 安 山 和 耶 路 撒 冷 成 就 他 一 切 工 作 的 時 候 ， 主 說 ： 我 必 罰 亞 述 王 自 大 的 心 和 他 高 傲 眼 目 的 榮 耀 。

13 因 為 他 說 ： 我 所 成 就 的 事 是 靠 我 手 的 能 力 和 我 的 智 慧 ， 我 本 有 聰 明 。 我 挪 移 列 國 的 地 界 ， 搶 奪 他 們 所 積 蓄 的 財 寶 ； 並 且 我 像 勇 士 ， 使 坐 寶 座 的 降 為 卑 。
