11 主 對 我 說 ： 人 子 啊 ， 這 些 骸 骨 就 是 以 色 列 全 家 。 他 們 說 ： 我 們 的 骨 頭 枯 乾 了 ， 我 們 的 指 望 失 去 了 ， 我 們 滅 絕 淨 盡 了 。

Ezekiel 37:11

Then he said unto me, son of man
Here follow the explication and application of the above vision: these bones are the whole house of Israel;
an emblem of them, of their state and condition in the Babylonish captivity, and of them in their present state; and of the whole Israel of God, while in a state of unregeneracy: this phrase takes in the ten tribes, as well as the two tribes of Benjamin and Judah, which returned from Babylon; and shows that respect is had to something more than that restoration barely: behold, they say, our bones are dried;
the house of Israel say we are like dry bones indeed; we have no spirit, nor strength, nor courage, nor life in us: and our hope is lost;
of being delivered from the present captivity; or of the Messiah's coming; or of ever enjoying their own land, and of the promises of those things made unto them: we are cut off for our parts;
from the land of Israel, and have no hope of possessing it again, whatever others have; indeed they are cut off from the olive tree, and are cut down like a tree, both as to their civil and church state. The Targum is,

``and we are perished;''

it is all over with us; we are lost and undone; all the expressions show the desperate and despairing condition they were in.

9 主 對 我 說 ： 人 子 啊 ， 你 要 發 預 言 ， 向 風 發 預 言 ， 說 主 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 氣 息 啊 ， 要 從 四 方 （ 原 文 是 風 ） 而 來 ， 吹 在 這 些 被 殺 的 人 身 上 ， 使 他 們 活 了 。

10 於 是 我 遵 命 說 預 言 ， 氣 息 就 進 入 骸 骨 ， 骸 骨 便 活 了 ， 並 且 站 起 來 ， 成 為 極 大 的 軍 隊 。

12 所 以 你 要 發 預 言 對 他 們 說 ， 主 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 我 的 民 哪 ， 我 必 開 你 們 的 墳 墓 ， 使 你 們 從 墳 墓 中 出 來 ， 領 你 們 進 入 以 色 列 地 。

13 我 的 民 哪 ， 我 開 你 們 的 墳 墓 ， 使 你 們 從 墳 墓 中 出 來 ， 你 們 就 知 道 我 是 耶 和 華 。
