4 你 起 來 ， 這 是 你 當 辦 的 事 ， 我 們 必 幫 助 你 ， 你 當 奮 勉 而 行 。 」

Ezra 10:4

Arise
From the ground, where he lay prostrate:

for this matter belongeth unto thee;
as a priest and scribe of the law, well versed in it, and therefore could direct what was to be done according to it; and as a ruler under the king of Persia, and a commissioner of his, to inquire whether the law of God was observed by the Jews, ( Ezra 7:14 ) and so had authority to put the law in execution:

we also will be with thee;
to help and assist in the reformation of this evil:

be of good courage, and do it;
do not despair of going through it, though there may be some opposition to it; begin, and doubt not of succeeding.

2 屬 以 攔 的 子 孫 、 耶 歇 的 兒 子 示 迦 尼 對 以 斯 拉 說 ： 我 們 在 此 地 娶 了 外 邦 女 子 為 妻 ， 干 犯 了 我 們 的 　 神 ， 然 而 以 色 列 人 還 有 指 望 。

3 現 在 當 與 我 們 的 　 神 立 約 ， 休 這 一 切 的 妻 ， 離 絕 他 們 所 生 的 ， 照 著 我 主 和 那 因 　 神 命 令 戰 兢 之 人 所 議 定 的 ， 按 律 法 而 行 。

4 你 起 來 ， 這 是 你 當 辦 的 事 ， 我 們 必 幫 助 你 ， 你 當 奮 勉 而 行 。 」

5 以 斯 拉 便 起 來 ， 使 祭 司 長 和 利 未 人 ， 並 以 色 列 眾 人 起 誓 說 ， 必 照 這 話 去 行 ； 他 們 就 起 了 誓 。

6 以 斯 拉 從 　 神 殿 前 起 來 ， 進 入 以 利 亞 實 的 兒 子 約 哈 難 的 屋 裡 ， 到 了 那 裡 不 吃 飯 ， 也 不 喝 水 ； 因 為 被 擄 歸 回 之 人 所 犯 的 罪 ， 心 裡 悲 傷 。
