29 現 在 事 情 還 沒 有 成 就 ， 我 預 先 告 訴 你 們 ， 叫 你 們 到 事 情 成 就 的 時 候 就 可 以 信 。

John 14:29

And now I have told you before it came to pass
This is a strong proof of his true and proper deity, for none but the omniscient God can tell of things before they come to pass; this is peculiar to him, and distinguishes him from the gods of the Gentiles; see ( Isaiah 41:22 Isaiah 41:23 ) ( 45:21 ) ( Isaiah 46:9 Isaiah 46:10 ) ;

that when it is come to pass, ye might believe:
that is, that when he was removed from them, and gone to his Father, they might then believe that he was truly God, the Son of God, the promised Messiah; and that he was then in glory, and at the right hand of God.

27 我 留 下 平 安 給 你 們 ； 我 將 我 的 平 安 賜 給 你 們 。 我 所 賜 的 ， 不 像 世 人 所 賜 的 。 你 們 心 裡 不 要 憂 愁 ， 也 不 要 膽 怯 。

28 你 們 聽 見 我 對 你 們 說 了 ， 我 去 還 要 到 你 們 這 裡 來 。 你 們 若 愛 我 ， 因 我 到 父 那 裡 去 ， 就 必 喜 樂 ， 因 為 父 是 比 我 大 的 。

29 現 在 事 情 還 沒 有 成 就 ， 我 預 先 告 訴 你 們 ， 叫 你 們 到 事 情 成 就 的 時 候 就 可 以 信 。

30 以 後 我 不 再 和 你 們 多 說 話 ， 因 為 這 世 界 的 王 將 到 。 他 在 我 裡 面 是 毫 無 所 有 ；

31 但 要 叫 世 人 知 道 我 愛 父 ， 並 且 父 怎 樣 吩 咐 我 ， 我 就 怎 樣 行 。 起 來 ， 我 們 走 罷 ！
