1 Yǐsèliè zhòngrén jùjí dào Xībǎilún jiàn Dàwèi , shuō , wǒmen yuán shì nǐde gǔròu .

2 Cóng qián Sǎoluó zuò wáng de shíhou , shuaìlǐng Yǐsèliè rén chūrù de shì nǐ . Yēhéhuá nǐde shén yĕ céng yīngxǔ nǐ shuō , nǐ bì mù yǎng wǒde mín Yǐsèliè , zuò Yǐsèliè de jūn .

3 Yúshì Yǐsèliè de zhǎnglǎo dōu lái dào Xībǎilún jiàn Dàwèi wáng . Dàwèi zaì Xībǎilún Yēhéhuá miànqián yǔ tāmen lì yuē , tāmen jiù gāo Dàwèi zuò Yǐsèliè de wáng , shì zhào Yēhéhuá jiè Sǎmǔĕr suǒ shuō de huà .

4 Dàwèi hé Yǐsèliè zhòngrén dào le Yēlùsǎlĕng , jiù shì Yébùsī . nàshí Yēbùsīrén zhù zaì nàli .

5 Yēbùsīrén duì Dàwèi shuō , nǐ jué bùnéng jìn zhè dìfang . ránér Dàwèi gōng qǔ Xī \'ān de bǎo zhàng , jiù shì Dàwèi de chéng .

6 Dàwèi shuō , shuí xiān gōngdǎ Yēbùsīrén , bì zuò shǒulǐng yuán shuaì . xǐ lǔ yǎ de érzi Yuēyē xiān shàng qù , jiù zuò le yuán shuaì .

7 Dàwèi zhù zaì bǎo zhàng lǐ , suǒyǐ nà bǎo zhàng jiào zuò Dàwèi chéng .

8 Dàwèi yòu cóng mǐ luó qǐ , sìwéi jiànzhù chéngqiáng , qíyú de shì Yuēyē xiūlǐ .

11 Dàwèi yǒng shì de shùmù jì zaì xiàmiàn , hā gé mó ní de érzi yǎ shuò bān , tā shì jūnzhǎng de Tǒng lǐng , yī shí jǔ qiāng shā le sān bǎi rén .

12 Qí cì shì yà hé rén qiú duō de érzi YǐlìYàsā , tā shì sān gè yǒng shì lǐ de yī gè .

13 Tā cóng qián yǔ Dàwèi zaì bā sī dá mǐn , Fēilìshì rén jùjí yào dǎzhàng . nàli yǒu yī kuaì zhǎng mǎn dàmaì de tián , zhòng mín jiù zaì Fēilìshì rén miànqián taópǎo .

14 Zhè yǒng shì biàn/pián zhàn zaì nà tiánjiān jī shā Fēilìshì rén , jiù hù le nà tián . Yēhéhuá shǐ Yǐsèliè rén dà huò quán shēng .

15 Sān shí gè yǒng shì zhōng de sān gèrén xià dào pánshí nàli , jìn le Yàdùlán dòng jiàn Dàwèi . Fēilìshì de jūnduì zaì Lìfáyīn gǔ ān yíng .

16 Nàshí Dàwèi zaì shān zhaì , Fēilìshì rén de fáng yíng zaì Bólìhéng .

17 Dàwèi kĕ xiǎng , shuō , shén yuàn yǒu rén jiāng Bólìhéng chéng mén páng jǐng lǐ de shuǐ dá lái gĕi wǒ hē .

18 Zhè sān gè yǒng shì jiù chuǎng guō Fēilìshì rén de yíng pán , cóng Bólìhéng chéng mén páng de jǐng lǐ dá shuǐ , ná lái fèng gĕi Dàwèi . tā què bù kĕn hē , jiāng shuǐ diàn zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián ,

19 Shuō , wǒde shén a , zhè sān gèrén mào sǐ qù dá shuǐ , zhè shuǐ hǎoxiàng tāmende xuè yìbān , wǒ duàn bù gǎn hē . rúcǐ , Dàwèi bù kĕn hē . zhè shì sān gè yǒng shì suǒ zuò de shì .

20 Yuē yē de xiōngdi yà bǐ shāi shì zhè sān gè yǒng shì de shǒulǐng . tā jǔ qiāng shā le sān bǎi rén , jiù zaì sān gè yǒng shì lǐ dé le míng .

23 Yòu shā le yī gè Āijí rén . Āijí rénshēn gāo wǔ zhǒu , shǒu lǐ ná zhe qiāng , qiāng gǎn cū rú zhī bù de jī zhóu . Bǐnáyǎ zhī ná zhe gùnzi xià qù , cóng Āijí rén shǒu lǐ duó guō qiāng lái , yòng nà qiāng jiāng tā cī sǐ .

Chapter 11

David raised to the throne. (1-9) A list of David's mighty men. (10-47)

Verses 1-9 David was brought to possess the throne of Israel after he had reigned seven years in Hebron, over Judah only. God's counsels will be fulfilled at last, whatever difficulties lie in the way. The way to be truly great, is to be really useful, to devote all our talents to the Lord.

Verses 10-47 An account is given of David's worthies, the great men who served him. Yet David reckoned his success, not as from the mighty men that were with him, but from the mighty God, whose presence is all in all. In strengthening him, they strengthened themselves and their own interest, for his advancement was theirs. We shall gain by what we do in our places for the support of the kingdom of the Son of David; and those that are faithful to Him, shall find their names registered much more to their honour, than these are in the records of fame.

``Joab governed the rest of the city.''
