Deuteronomy 4:12

And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire
For the Lord descended on Mount Sinai in a cloud, in fire, and was in the thick darkness, from whence he delivered out the ten commands:

ye heard the voice of the words;
distinctly and plainly, not only the sound of them, but the words themselves, and so as to understand what was meant by them;

but saw no similitude;
not any likeness of the person speaking, by which they could form any idea of him in their minds, which was purposely done to prevent idolatry:

only ye heard a voice;
that was all.

10 Nǐ zaì Héliè shān zhàn zaì Yēhéhuá nǐ shén miànqián de nà rì , Yēhéhuá duì wǒ shuō , nǐ wéi wǒ zhāo jù bǎixìng , wǒ yào jiào tāmen tīngjian wǒde huà , shǐ tāmen cún huó zaì shì de rìzi , kĕyǐ xuéxí jìngwèi wǒ , yòu kĕyǐ jiàoxun érnǚ zhèyàng xíng .

11 Nàshí nǐmen jìn qián lái , zhàn zaì shān xià . shān shàng yǒu huǒyàn chōng tiān , bìng yǒu hūn hēi , mì yún , yōuàn .

12 Yēhéhuá cóng huǒyàn zhōng duì nǐmen shuōhuà , nǐmen zhǐ tīngjian shēngyīn , què méiyǒu kànjian xíngxiàng .

13 Tā jiāng suǒ fēnfu nǐmen dàng shǒu de yuē zhǐshì nǐmen , jiù shì shí tiaó jiè , bìng jiāng zhè jiè xiĕ zaì liǎng kuaì shí bǎn shàng .

14 Nàshí Yēhéhuá yòu fēnfu wǒ jiāng lù lì diǎnzhāng jiàoxun nǐmen , shǐ nǐmen zaì suǒ yào guō qù de wéi yè de dì shàng zūnxíng .
