Tíduōshū 2:6 Meaning and Commentary

Titus 2:6

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
] Temperate, chaste, modest, moderate, wise, and prudent in all things: this is said to Titus, as being his province to instruct and exhort the young men; as it were proper and convenient for aged women to teach the young women how they should behave and conduct themselves.

4 Hǎo zhǐjiào shàonián fùrén , aì zhàngfu , aì érnǚ ,
5 Jǐn shǒu zhēn jié , liào lǐ jiā wù , daì rén yǒu ēn , shùnfú zìjǐ de zhàngfu , miǎndé shén de dàolǐ beì huǐbàng .
6 Yòu quàn shàonián rén yào jǐn shǒu .
7 Nǐ zìjǐ fán shì yào xiǎn chū shàn xíng de bǎngyàng , zaì jiàoxun shang yào zhèngzhí , duān zhuāng ,
8 Yányǔ chún quán , wú kĕ zhǐzé , jiào nà fǎnduì de rén , jì wú chù kĕ shuō wǒmen de bù shì , biàn zì jué xiūkuì .
