Jeremiah 32:10

And I subscribed the evidence
Or, "wrote in a book" ^F21; the instrument or bill of sale, the deed of purchase; which described the field sold, and expressed the condition on which the purchase was made; and by subscribing it he agreed to it, and laid himself under obligation to perform it: and sealed [it];
for the further confirmation of it: and took witnesses;
to be present at the payment of the money, and to sign the deed likewise: and weighed [him] the money in the balances;
this he did a second time; he weighed it first before Hanameel himself, and then before the witnesses; everything was done fairly, and with great exactness.

8 Und Hanamel, der Sohn meines Oheims, kam zu mir, nach dem Worte Jehovas, in den Gefängnishof und sprach zu mir: Kaufe doch mein Feld, das zu Anathoth im Lande Benjamin ist, denn du hast das Erbrecht, und du hast die Lösung; kaufe es dir. Und ich erkannte, daß es das Wort Jehovas war.

9 Und ich kaufte von Hanamel, dem Sohne meines Oheims, das Feld, das zu Anathoth ist, und wog ihm das Geld dar: siebzehn Sekel Silber.

10 Und ich schrieb einen Kaufbrief und versiegelte ihn und nahm Zeugen, und ich wog das Geld auf der Waage dar.

11 Und ich nahm den Kaufbrief, den versiegelten: die Festsetzung und die Bestimmungen, und auch den offenen;

12 und ich gab den Kaufbrief Baruk, dem Sohne Nerijas, des Sohnes Machsejas, vor den Augen Hanamels, meines Vetters, und vor den Augen der Zeugen, welche den Kaufbrief unterschrieben hatten, vor den Augen aller Juden, die im Gefängnishofe saßen.
