John 15:1-8

Listen to John 15:1-8

I Am the True Vine

1 “I am the 1true vine, and my Father is 2the vinedresser.
2 3Every branch in me that does not bear fruit 4he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, 5that it may bear more fruit.
3 Already 6you are clean 7because of the word that I have spoken to you.
4 8Abide 9in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
5 I am the vine; 10you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that 11bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not abide in me 12he is thrown away like a branch and withers; 13and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
7 If 14you abide in me, and my words abide in you, 15ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 16By this my Father is glorified, that you 17bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

You Must Stay Connected
You Must Stay Connected
J. Craig Ouellette

On the night of the last supper, Jesus made the analogy that He is the vine and we are the branches. From this analogy we can learn the following - we are to bring forth fruit to the Lord, Listening and hearing the Word of God can cleanse us and prune us, even if we bring forth fruit there are times of purging or pruning, we must abide in Jesus to bring forth fruit and without Jesus we can do nothing. Listen in as Pastor Ouellette talks about the importance of having a connection with the Lord and staying connected. Click Here for Slide from this Message
