Luke 23:34-43

34 And Jesus said, “Father, ¹forgive them, ²for they know not what they do. ” ^[a] And they cast lots ³to divide his garments.

35 And ⁴the people stood by, watching, ⁵but ⁶the rulers ⁷scoffed at him, saying, ⁸“He saved others; ⁹let him save himself, ¹⁰if he is ¹¹the Christ of God, ¹²his Chosen One! ”

36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and ¹³offering him sour wine

37 and saying, ¹⁴“If you are ¹⁵the King of the Jews, save yourself! ”

38 ¹⁶There was also an inscription over him, ^[b]“This is ¹⁷the King of the Jews. ”

39 ¹⁸One of the criminals who were hanged ¹⁹railed at him, ^[c] saying, “Are you not ²⁰the Christ? Save yourself and us! ”

40 But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?

41 And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong. ”

42 And he said, “Jesus, remember me ²¹when you come into your kingdom. ”

43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in ²²Paradise. ”
