48 ¹You are witnesses of these things.

49 And behold, I am sending ²the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you ³are clothed with ⁴power ⁵from on high. ”

50 Then ⁶he led them out as far as ⁷Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.

51 While he blessed them, ⁸he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

52 And they ⁹worshiped him and ¹⁰returned to Jerusalem ¹¹with great joy,

53 and ¹²were continually in the temple ¹³blessing God.
