2 Kings 16:20

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his
fathers in the city of David
But not in the sepulchres of the kings of Israel, as David and Solomon, he being such a wicked prince, ( 2 Chronicles 28:27 )

and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead;

18 Ahaz removed the covered walkway used on the day of worship. This walkway had been built in the temple. He also removed the outer entrance for the king from the LORD's temple. He did this to please the king of Assyria.
