Genesis 6:21

21 Take every kind of food that can be eaten and store it. It will be food for you and the animals."

Genesis 6:21 Meaning and Commentary

Genesis 6:21

And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten
By man and beast; of which see ( Genesis 1:29 Genesis 1:30 ) and thou shall gather [it] to thee;
to lay up in the ark: and it shall be for food for thee, and for them:
during the flood, a quantity sufficient for them: and according to the calculation of learned men F14, well versed in mathematics, there was room enough in the ark, and to spare, to put food for them all during the time the flood was on the earth.

Genesis 6:21 In-Context

19 Bring two of every living creature into the ship in order to keep them alive with you. They must be male and female.
20 Two of every type of bird, every type of domestic animal, and every type of creature that crawls on the ground will come to you to be kept alive.
21 Take every kind of food that can be eaten and store it. It will be food for you and the animals."
22 Noah did this. He did everything that God had commanded him.
