Job 34:4 Meaning and Commentary

Job 34:4

Let us choose to us judgments
Take the part of the question or controversy in which truth and justice lie, and he doubtless has respect to the present controversy with Job;

let us know among ourselves what [is] good;
agree upon that which is best to be done in the present case, what judgment to be made of the dealings of God with Job, and his behaviour under them, and what the best advice to give to him.

Job 34:4 In-Context

2 "Hear my words, you wise men; Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
3 For the ear tries words, As the palate tastes food.
4 Let us choose for us that which is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.
5 For Iyov has said, 'I am righteous, God has taken away my right:
6 Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar; My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.'
