That is, in the land of Canaan:

that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses:

Joshua 1:3 In-Context

1 Now it happened after the death of Moshe the servant of the LORD, that the LORD spoke to Yehoshua the son of Nun, Moshe' minister, saying,
2 Moshe my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Yarden, you, and all this people, to the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Yisra'el.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread on, to you have I given it, as I spoke to Moshe.
4 From the wilderness, and this Levanon, even to the great river, the river Perat, all the land of the Hitti, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moshe, so I will be with you; I will not fail you, nor forsake you.
