13 Ve, y habla a Hananías, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR: Yugos de madera quebraste, mas en vez de ellos harás yugos de hierro

Jeremías 28:13 Meaning and Commentary

Jeremiah 28:13

Go and tell Hananiah, saying, thus saith the Lord
Whose name he had abused; whose prophet he had ill treated; and whose prophecies he had contradicted, and the symbols of them had contumeliously used: thou hast broken the yokes of wood:
or, "bonds", or "the thongs" ^F17; with which the yokes of wood were bound and fastened, as Kimchi interprets it: but thou shall make for them yokes of iron;
not Hananiah, but Jeremiah; who should prophesy of a more severe bondage the nations should be brought into by Nebuchadnezzar, in direct contradiction to Hananiah's prophecy; instead of wooden yokes, they should have iron ones; which should lie heavier, and bear harder upon them, and which could not be broken nor taken off.

11 Y habló Hananías en presencia de todo el pueblo, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR: De esta manera quebraré el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, del cuello de todos los gentiles dentro de dos años de días. Y siguió Jeremías su camino

12 Y después que Hananías profeta quebró el yugo del cuello de Jeremías profeta, vino palabra del SEÑOR a Jeremías, diciendo

13 Ve, y habla a Hananías, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR: Yugos de madera quebraste, mas en vez de ellos harás yugos de hierro

14 Porque así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Yugo de hierro puse sobre el cuello de todos estos gentiles, para que sirvan a Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y le servirán; y aun también le he dado las bestias del campo

15 Entonces dijo Jeremías profeta a Hananías profeta: Ahora oye, Hananías; el SEÑOR no te envió, y tú hiciste a este pueblo confiar en mentira
