13 Y también privó a su madre Maaca de ser reina, porque había hecho un ídolo en un bosque. Además deshizo Asa el ídolo de su madre, y lo quemó junto al arroyo de Cedrón

14 Mas los lugares altos no se quitaron; pero el corazón de Asa fue perfecto para con el SEÑOR toda su vida

15 También trajo a la Casa del SEÑOR lo que su padre había dedicado, y lo que él dedicó: oro, plata, y vasos

16 Y hubo guerra entre Asa y Baasa rey de Israel, todo el tiempo de ambos

INTRODUCTION TO 1 KINGS 15

In this chapter we have a short history of the reign of Abijam, 1Ki 15:1-8 and of Asa, 1Ki 14:9-24, both kings of Judah; and of the reigns of Nadab the son of Jeroboam, and of Baasha, who destroyed his family, both kings of Israel, 1Ki 15:25-34.
